We recognize that many types of acute trauma can be a very stressful time for both pets and pet owners. Repair is best applied within a timely manner. Dr. Price has a significant interest in trauma management, fracture repair, and used repair techniques that are not only appropriate and tailored to the trauma that has occurred, but that maximize outcomes, result in shorter healing times (such as with minimally invasive fracture repair techniques), and can result on low complication and infection rates.
Request a ConsultationTrauma management is a complex field and each case is different and unique. Dr. Price brings a level of experience, training, and understanding to these cases which cannot be understated. Dr. Price has advanced training in fracture management, minimally invasive fracture management, feline specific fracture management, pelvic trauma, management of articular fractures and juxta-articular fractures (those near a joint surface).
The goal with any type of trauma is to return the patient to normal function (or as close to as possible), while maximizing early mobility and minimizing complications during the recovery process.
Given that fracture management is of particular importance and interest to Dr. Price, we organize our weeks to accommodate trauma cases into our existing schedule.
